WELCOME TO THE WEB SITE OF CLONAKILTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The college, whose student population is co-educational and multi-denominational, at present, caters for almost  600 students and  also offers an extensive Adult Education Programme and Music Scheme. The college is managed by a Board of Management comprising representatives of parents, teachers, local authorities and churches.

The staff of Clonakilty  Community College strive at creating an atmosphere where students can develop to their full potential and learn to appreciate and respect the rights of other individuals within society.  A sense of independence and freedom is encouraged within the school and the advice of parents is respected and appreciated when assisting individual students to cope with the demands of schooling.

The Department of Education and Science has sanctioned the setting up of an Aonad Lán Gaeilge, for those students in the West Cork area who wish to study at second level through the medium of Irish.  The Aonad Lán Gaeilge is in place since September 2001.

Also, Rang Phádraig, a special class for children in the moderate range of ability was set up in September 2006.
